When the kids were little we thought it would be nice to get a family pet. After much research we decided that it should be a whippet. I contacted Linda Jones of JR Whippet Rescue for some advice and was lucky enough to be invited to her house to get some 'hands on' experience of whippets (my oldest son also got some face-to-face experience of an Italian Greyhound, but that's another story!)

We all immediately agreed that whippets were the breed for us and before too long we were sharing our home with Sunny - he was the perfect introduction to the breed.

We lost Sunny to Cushings in 2006 and it still breaks my heart, he will always be my most special boy.
